Class Schedule + Types

Class Types:

Empower

Seventy-five or Sixty minutes of thoughtfully crafted movement meant to inspire you as well as challenge you. If you never thought yoga could be a cardio workout, think again! Empower is where solid upbeat tunes allow for yoga to meet intensity and of course, as always ends with an opportunity for stillness and meditation, but only after you’ve worked for it. This class is meant to for all skill levels since as with every class, you can go at your own pace and listen to your own intuition on what it is you need out of the experience. You are your own best teacher and we honor that. Each Contemporary Yoga experience consists of 7 stages designed in a manner to maximize the strengthening and lengthening of the lean and connective tissue in the body coupled with opportunities for digging deep, finding strength and peace within oneself. Empower offers a greater opportunity to build muscular strength and endurance than the other styles.

Grounded

Sixty minutes of basically the opposite of an Empower class :) It has everything you want a refreshing, restorative, mindful yoga practice to be. With slowed down music, movements and a easy, relaxed vibe it’s perfect for active recovery from strength training or gently lengthening and strengthening underused, tight muscles. This is a great class for athletes and the older population as it’s predominantly grounded and moves at a slower pace. You will still have the freedom of intuitive movement, as with every class as well as an opportunity to strengthen your core and overall body. The majority of the class is reserved for Yin Yoga; longer holds to create space for connective tissue lengthening, stillness, peace within ones self and an opportunity to see what rises up… and observe.

Smooth

A style that blends both the intensity of Fierce and the restorative nature of Grounded. Seventy-five or Sixty minutes of both slow, grounding movements combined with full range of motion sequencing. This experience invokes ample time for hard work and still introspection. Its fluid, unique movements are designed in a way they can be done with your eyes closed; to deepen your own practice by observing all of your senses.

PEAK

Peak is our first “it’s about the process to the pose” class. It is more physically guided than the others with the goal of specifically bringing awareness to different parts of your body in order to create a shape or transition. As with all of the classes, any level is capable since modifications are offered and we encourage everyone to go at their own pace and only do what they feel is needed for in that practice. It will vary depending on the day!

NIDRA

Yoga Nidra translates to Yogic Sleep. This ancient practice of guided meditation allows you to explore the 5 layers of your being called “Koshas” or “sheaths”. Yoga Nidra allows your mind to be aware while your body can rest. By exploring the 5 layers of your being you can better tap into spaces of your brain that aren’t used during your day to day life. This practice offers a truly restorative and relaxing experience. We encourage everyone to bring pillows and blankets along with their mat to make themselves as comfortable as possible because you are laying down for the full hour class!

KIDS CLASSES

We offer weekly Kids Community Classes. For ages 3-5 classes are every 1st and 3rd Friday at 9-9:45am. Ages 5-8 every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 4:30-5:30pm. Ages 9-12 every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 4:30-5:30pm. Your child will benefit from the physical movement of yoga done in a fun, interactive way. Perhaps the best benefit of all is the mindfulness practice and awareness they learn to that allows them to emotionally regulate themselves in any situation. This program is ran by Teresa Moldenhauer who has a bachelors in Elementary Education and has created and implemented a kids yoga program for local elementary schools.

WORKSHOPS + EVENTS

We offer a variety of workshops and specialty events. From in house teacher who have different specialties they would like to share as well as from the community that will add value to our members and the community around us. There are physical workshops tailored to learning specific skills; inversions, arm balances and prop usage. As well as body metabolism and biomechanics seminars to empower you with knowledge about your system. Beyond that are events on healing from trauma led by Align Counseling, intention settings, journaling prompts and skills, sound baths, breath work + meditation classes. These will always be announced first on our Instagram and put up for sign ups on The Yoga Studio App. Workshops are included in our unlimited memberships and events are half off!
